What is the difference between LPG and Natural Gas?

LPG (liquid propane gas), also known as bottled gas is supplied in a bottle which you need to connect to an appliance. It is commonly used for BBQs and in rural and regional areas.
Natural gas (NG) is distributed in your home via pipes and is commonly used for heating water and cooking.

How do I find out which type of gas I have?

If you currently have a gas pipe that supplies the gas to your appliances, then you are using Natural Gas in your home or property. If you currently buy bottled gas, then you are using LPG.

Does it matter which type of gas I have when I buy my appliance/product?

Yes, it does. LPG cannot be used on Natural Gas products and likewise, Natural Gas cannot be used on LPG products.

Can I get a Conversion kit?

Most appliances (not all) will allow you to convert the type of gas, however this must be done by a qualified electrician or licensed gas fitter at a cost.

Products will be delivered between 3 and 7.
