Returns and Refund Policy

At Second Hand Appliances Geebung, we are committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). This policy explains your rights and our processes for returns, refunds, and repairs.

Timeframe for Returns

Faulty or Defective Goods: You may return goods that fail to meet the guarantees under the ACL within a reasonable period after purchase.

Change of Mind: Requests for change-of-mind returns must be made within 7 days after purchase. 

Conditions for Returns

To be eligible for a return:

1. Proof of Purchase: You must provide a receipt, invoice, or other valid proof of transaction.

2. Product Condition: The item must be in its original condition, with all components and accessories included.

Process for Returns

1. Contact Us: Email our team at geebungfridges@gmail.com to request a return.

Provide your name, proof of purchase, and details about the product and issue.

2. Assessment: We may assess the goods (in-store or via inspection) before confirming eligibility for a refund, repair, or replacement.

3. Return Instructions: If eligible, we will provide instructions on how to return the product.

Refund Details

Faulty or Defective Goods:

Refunds will be processed via the original payment method (e.g., credit card, EFT, PayPal) within 5-10 business days of approval.

Delivery fees will be refunded if the issue constitutes a major failure under the ACL.

Change of Mind Returns:

If approved, a 20% restocking fee will apply.

Delivery fees are non-refundable, and you are responsible for return shipping costs or collection fees.

While we encourage careful consideration before purchasing, we may accept returns for change of mind under the following conditions:

1. You notify us within 7 days of purchase.

2. The product is in original condition, unused, and includes all components.

3. A 20% restocking fee applies, and you are responsible for shipping or collection costs.

Faulty or Defective Goods

If a product is faulty, defective, or does not meet the ACL guarantees, you are entitled to:

1. Repair or Replacement: We will repair or replace the product at no cost to you.

2. Refund: For major failures, you may choose a refund or replacement.

Statutory Rights

This policy does not limit your rights under the ACL or any applicable laws. If there are inconsistencies, your statutory rights will prevail.

Warranty Coverage & Service Radius

At Second Hand Appliances & Factory Outlet Geebung, we offer warranties on domestic appliances used in single-family homes. Our warranty covers both parts and labor for electrical and mechanical defects.

Please note:

The warranty does not cover appliances used for commercial purposes.

Cosmetic defects, installation issues, plumbing faults, or user errors are not covered.

Service calls, freight, or transport costs for repairs outside a 40km radius from our Geebung store are the customers responsibility.
